Cool post Brunt, makes ypu realise how insignificant Earth is in the Galaxy. Ah the old days step into a gate and emerge 20,000 light years away.

Brunt that is some really great stuff right there.

I recently ordered this:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0743437705/ref=oh_o05_s00_i00_details

I wonder if that second picture is from that book, possibly?  (grumble alpha quadrant should be in the lower left!)   Grin

Also for some reason I thought we were on an outer band.  Silly, I guess.

I'll see if I can do that when I get it!  I had to buy it used, but I finally got it for a good price.

$20.  The used books are worthwhile.

Those are some vague descriptions of "acceptable"

One of them says 10 pages or so aren't even in the bindings...

Hey Capt,  I just consulted my handy "Star Trek: Star Charts book, which I find invaluable section 001 aka
known at the Sol system lies between the Carina Arm and the Orion Arm, in fact most of the Federation lies between
those two arms.  Also your grumble is spot on, the orientation of the Galaxy show the Alpha Quadrant where the Beta
Quadrant should be.  This post was such a labor of love that I hate to nit-pick, and I do really love the content put
forth by Brunt, I was not aware that a Ferengi has such detailed star charts, he must have paid quite a few bars of
Gold Plated Latium for the information, in any case...Great Post Brunt !!!!!

Nice cover design. That's a close approximation of the Star Trek type face, wonder if Universal has a copywrite on that font?
I like the NX-01 on the cover, seems fitting.
