Ok.  I don't think Chris likes football.

And I suspect two of our four heavy posters don't watch it since Cindy is from Canada and Colin is from England.

Does anyone like football?  I used to play fantasy football and it was fun, I think I did it with yahoo one year, I can't remember who else.   I admit I don't know what the good free fantasy football sites are.

We might be too small a forum for some Treknologic football to do this but I'm just throwing this out there and let's see if there are crickets.  Also I claim Borg as my mascot if this ever gets off the ground.   borg

It can be wonderfully entertaining for those of you who like football but have never played fantasy football, it's great to check the scores all day and compete with folks you know.

We used to watch more, but it's a big time sink on Sundays and Mondays, and since it has a lower entertainment Return on Investment, it has gone the way of the dinosaurs.

Cindy

Football not so much.

I've been to 2 baseball games. The last time was weeks ago.

I understand Toronto is starting up a Lingerie Football team. Is it the same thing?
Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning.

Sports fall into the category of "Things that can preempt what I actually want to watch." Therefore, I despise them.

I believe that all televised sports should be done the way they do fishing shows. In a fishing show, they pre-record the whole thing and then edit out all of the boring stuff (Okay, yes, I know it's fishing) so that it fits in the time slot. All that is left is the interesting talk and catching fish without 3 hours of watching the line in the water doing nothing.

If football was just an hour of tackles, touchdowns, and field goals with a bit of commentary in between I think it would be MUCH better and it would have the added benefit of not screwing up my Tivo schedule for the rest of the evening! :)

Of course, all sports could benefit from this technique, football just seems to be a big offender in the "running over" area.

Jeff

ok.  Not looking good so far.   ;D

I haven't watched football (with the exception of the superbowl) in years. Sorry Jeff. Maybe we need a fantasy parisey squares league?

I love my team name I get the Tholians cool. Actually Channel four used to show American football over here. All we get now is the superbowl.
Although there is an American football league here. Albeit small.

If I remember correctly a Fantasy League costs money, so how much were you planning on asking from each participant?

$0, although I've done no research at all on this.  If I can't get anyone who actually likes football then alas I will let this fade.

I think it would be really boring for everyone who doesn't follow football, although I could be wrong.

I may make an announcement in the next show, because I do want to play some FF and may try to push a little.  Not sure, I haven't decided yet.

Oh well in that case if you do manage to get one together I'll try my hand at it. I just see it as one of those march madness bracket situations. It seems its always the guy who doesn't know anything about the game that wins the office pool.

The King family does root for some teams, so we will generally try to watch our teams in the playoffs and in general, we don't get to watch our teams in the superbowl - in which case we just skip through and watch for any funny commercials.
